Connect:

With 15 years of experience leading media relations and communications strategies across government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors, Kate brings a proven ability to shape public narratives, manage crisis communications, and advise organizations at every stage of growth. Her career includes senior communications roles for two U.S. Senators and a state legislative caucus, along with advising nonprofits, emerging startups, and publicly traded companies in highly regulated industries.

Her work spans shaping public understanding of the American Rescue Plan Act—highlighting Senator Bennet’s one-year expansion of the child tax credit for families with young children—and rallying support to secure increased funding in Denver’s 2024 city budget to prevent evictions and keep more Coloradans housed.

Kate is passionate about advancing mental health initiatives nationwide. She shaped and executed the communications strategy that helped pass the Jacob Sexton Act, ensuring confidential annual mental health screenings for servicemembers—active duty, guard, and reserve—to stem the tide of military suicides. Her communications strategies also fueled advocacy for a national suicide prevention hotline, contributing to the establishment of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline—now a vital resource for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis. Currently, Kate serves as Vice President of the Board for Clarity Through Community, a nonprofit dedicated to mental health and substance use disorder support.

Recognized for her ability to humanize complex issues, strengthen reputations, foster collaborative partnerships, and drive mission-focused change, Kate is excited to use her skillset to support the clients of RebuttalPR. She earned her degree in Political Science and History from the University of Scranton, where she played lacrosse. Originally from Long Island, NY, she now lives in Indianapolis with her husband, toddler, and rescue dog Griffin.
